15 Dec 10 The Ohio Valley Dwarf Car Association will hold its annual winter meeting, Saturday, January 8th, 10 AM in the "Pilots Lounge, at Grimes Field airport State Rt 68 north, Urban Ohio.
The meeting is open to all OVDCA members, perspective members, & interested parties. On the agenda will be a review of all rules & race regulations for the upcoming 2011 race season. Motor rules will be a high priority at this meeting. Bring your thoughts & suggestions & make your voice heard. Any rule or regulation that you think needs tweaked or changed is open for discussion & voting.
Club officers will be nominated & voted on as well. Any team fielding a car will have one vote to cast on each item brought to the floor.
A couple of items expected to be talked about is; Mandatory window nets on both sides of the car, Pure stock motors, Motor claim
As food for thought, let me tell you where I'm coming from, as a group we need to make our class more desirable for others to join. The best way to accomplish this is to make our class more affordable than other classes and offer a level playing field so that all can participate in a completive manor without breaking the bank. The theory is not new, it's the same one that was used to start Dwarf Car racing back in "1989" but we've strayed from this concept over the years with highly modified motors that are not affordable to all, leaving us with a wide gap in speed & keeping those that might want to race with us to back off because of what they think it will cost to be competitive. We can & must do better to lower the cost if we're to gain members in our area.

2010 OVDCA Awards Banquet
Saturday November 13, 2010
The OVDCA would like to invite all past and present members, friends
and family to our annual awards banquet. The top drivers in our points
system will be honored for their effort throughout the year.
The Banquet will be held at Der Dutchman Restaurant, 445 S. Jefferson Ave.
(RT. 42), Plain City, Ohio.
The meal will be served Family Style with a choice of Beef, Chicken
and Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, and Dressing. Meal also includes salad, rolls, drink & desert.
The price is $16.50 per person & includes tax & gratuities. Children 9-12: $8.50, 4-8: $6.50, under 4 are free.
Dinner can be paid for at the door. Please RSVP so we know how many
will be attending.

18 Sep 10 Rain canceled Saturdays action and with 1 race remaining will this be Wiricks year? Only 8 points separate the top two positions and Bob Bayse, currently in third, remains in striking distance. Don't miss out on this great season finaly when the OVDCA returns to ShadyBowl speedway Saturday, September 25.
11 Sep 10 With a photo finish between Wirick and Kenodler that resulted in a points leader change, Wirick assumes the number 1 position with 2 races remaining. Bob Bayse remains within striking distance in one of the closest points championships in the recent past. Emotional Wirick Triumphs In Evans-Hostetler Classic at Shady Bowl

It was an emotional victory lane celebration for Daniel Wirick on Saturday night (August 28) at Shady Bowl Speedway as he claimed victory in the annual Evans-Hostetler Dwarf Car Classic. Wirick, the grandson of Bill Hostetler, one of the race’s namesakes along with Max Evans, made a bold three-wide pass in lapped traffic coming to the white flag to score the biggest win of his young career.

OVDCA Re-Schedules Rained Out Evans Hostetler Classic
Thanks to generous acts of Steve Martin, the Mid West Classic racers and Shadybowl promoter Charlie Stapleton we are able to announce that the 2010 Evans Hostetler Classic event will be contested this Saturday, August 28th.
A full field of the fastest & finest Dwarf Cars in the Mid West will be
on hand to thrill & excite the fans at the Historic 3/10 mile oval.
Gates open at 3pm with racing action at 7pm.

OVDCA "2010" Evans Hostetler Classic

The Ohio Valley Dwarf Car Association will host the 4th annual "Evans Hostetler Classic" to honor two of its oldest & most dedicated members.
A full field of the fastest Dwarf cars in the Midwest are expected to battle it out on the 3/10 mile banks of Shadybowl Speedway. The Midwest Classic Racers from Michigan will invade the Buckeye State for the annual rivalry in an attempt to take the top honors back up north. It's always a battle to the wire when these racers get together and nothing is taken for granted. With a tight points battle at the top of both clubs, it looks like it's heading for a typical speed fest. Michigan's top three drivers Jon Wylie, Eric (hot shoe) Hoffman, and Craig (the kid) Curtis take on our own Brandon Bayse, Daniel Wirick & Bob Bayse. Toss in K. D. Kneodler back in from TN and the return of (Rowdy) Rob Roney of MI and we have all the makings for an action packed race for this special event.
Gates open @ 3pm with racing @ 7pm

17 July 10 Daniel Wirrick took over the lead from Jerry Russell shortly after the halfway point to post the win in his Wirrick Farms racer. Russell, Bob Bayse, Josh Sage and Jesse Gade finished second thru fifth. Bob Bayse was the winner in heat action.

26 Jun 10 Brandon Bayse of Covington continued his dominance of the Dwarf car class as he posted still another win in his RCH Road Oil backed racer. Bob Bayse, Donnie Eaton, Jeff Noll and Josh Sage finished second thru fifth.

5 Jun 10 Shadybowl has canceled racing for tonight, June 5, due to rain. OVDCA will return to racing action on 26 June and we hope to see everyone there.
22 May 10 The rain finally took at break and OVDCA returned to Shadybowl for an action packed 20 lap feature. It turned out be a two car race with Brandon Bayse and Daniel Wirrick battling for the lead. Wirrick came up just short as Bayse put his NAPA coach bodied car in victory lane. Bob Bayse, Jerry Russell and Don Eaton rounded out the top five. Brandon Bayse was the winner in heat action.

9 May 10 OVDCA is scheduled to resume racing action at Shadybowl on Saturday May 22. We look forward to seeing everyone there after this long stretch of unfavorable weather.

3 Apr 10 The 20 lap Ohio Valley Dwarf Car Association feature saw 2009 champion Brandon Bayse dominate the event in his Piqua Transfer coach bodied car. K. D. Knoedler, Daniel Wirrick, Bob Bayse and Jerry Russell finished second thru fifth. Brandon Bayse also carried the checker for the heat win.
